MSI did Jana and Shane's wedding video at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa last June 17, 2010. We took advantage of the beautiful venue and moved the couple to different locations in the hotel to get the best romantics and post-ceremony shots. Here are some clips from the final edited video:

Fourth of July Hawaiian Flower Shower

Independence Day Celebrations with 20,000 Orchids Flower Drop From Helicopter
The Westin Maui Resort & Spa, Ka’anapali

KA’ANAPALI BEACH, MAUI / July 4, 2010 - Guests at The Westin Maui Resort & Spa were treated to a unique ‘flowerworks’ experience earlier today as part of the resort’s July 4th weekend celebrations. Twenty thousand fresh orchid flowers were showered onto the resort’s 87,000 square-foot pool deck areas by resort director of food & beverage Nathan Davis from a helicopter above.

According to resort general manager Craig Anderson, the Hawaiian Flower Shower is an annual tradition observed during Independence Day celebrations. “We began the floral drop several years ago as a clean alternative to the usual fireworks show. It is one of the many environmental-friendly initiatives undertaken at The Westin Maui Resort & Spa,” explained Craig. He added that the resort also dedicated the flowerworks in honor of the military soldiers on active duty and based on overseas assignments.

Five special prizes awaited lucky hotel guests who found a red rose hidden amongst the shower of orchids. First to find a rose was Kirsten Cirella from Australia who won herself a relaxing 50-minute spa experience at the resort’s Heavenly Spa by Westin™. Yet another lucky recipient was Diane Witheridge who had a breakfast surprise while dining at ‘Ono Bar & Grill. “The rose fell onto the restaurant’s thatched umbrella and our waiter caught it for us,” said Diane who was delighted to win a spa treat.

Jason Shipley from Dallas, Texas was at the right place at the right time as the orchids showered onto the pool area. “A red rose fell into the pool right in front of me and all I had to do was pull it out,” said Jason. He is looking forward to enjoying the resort’s Wailele Luau dinner show which he won when he found the rose.

Event organizer Nathan Niewman mentioned that more fun was in store for hotel guests including poolside activities for all ages such as the “Minute-To-Win-It” games, lei making, live entertainment with a deejay spinning old favorites and top hits, an outdoor grill station with chefs preparing fish tacos and even a build-your-own Caipirinha Bar. The activities are part of the weekly Hawaiian Summer Days held Sundays on the resort’s five-pool aquatic playground overlooking Ka’anapali Beach.

The Fourth of July Hawaiian Flower Shower was covered and aired in local news

Amber and Jason Wedding

June 5 2010 - Amber and Jason tied the knot up in the mountains. They chose a really beautiful location to celebrate this enchanted moment with their family and friends - Kula Botanical Garden along Haleakala Hwy.

It was a really sweet ceremony followed by an intimate reception.

We were there to capture their moments - after hauling our equipment up and down those hills! - but all was worth it! Every location was a perfect picture and the bride and groom were transported into a fairytale come to life.

The MSI team consisted of Tim, our director of photography with assistants Germine and Mychael, and Kit on the video camera. At this point, we'll be scanning through more than a thousand awesome photos taken and the editing begins!

To Amber and Jason, congratulations and best wishes from MSI Maui!
